Cornucopia is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Cornucopia's training program has been certified by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), a national peer review organization.
Cornucopia receives a fee for service for each trainee enrolled in the program. The primary sources of referrals are the Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission(ORSC) Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation (BVR) and the Cuyahoga County Board of Mental retardation and Developmental Disabilities (CCBMR/DD). Other referring organizations include the Bureau of Worker's Compensation (BWC), the Bureau of Services for the Visually Impaired (BSVI) and The Veterans Administration. Several school systems also have entered into partnerships with Cornucopia to provide job coaching and other service to their students with disabilities including Lakewood City Schools.
